specifically the fuel filter.

X2. I've seen those metal canister filters clogged full of sh*t several times and even keep cars from running.

Fuel filter is only about 8 months old. I got it changed shortly after getting the car. Even added some sea foam to the tank also. Where would the pump relay be?

I didn't realize there was another thread like this. I did a search but nothing came up so figured it would be a new subject. ty for the diagram, how would you go about checking if its bad?

i just thought of something, do you pump the gas before ya try and start it? i know i have to give my elky a few pumps to prime the carb before i start it.

Easiest test is to locate it, and have someone turn on/ turn off/ turn on the ignition while you listen. You will hear it click. You should also hear the fuel pump power up. Or just change it out, they are cheap and when they act up they are intermittent until they fail altogether. Get a new one and you can cross that of the list of potential causes.

Beermonkey yes I pump it once but my rides fuel injected. Ok I will see if the relay clicks or just change it like u said.

If it's injected DON'T pump it. Don't touch the pedal at all. It confuses the ECM. All symptoms you describe point to fuel pump relay. Don't just listen to for the click - make sure power is actually going through it. If it checks out ok, check fuel pressure next. Let us know what you find.
