Exactly how tall do I need the valve covers to fit properly with room for the rockers? They are Edelbrock Performer Heads for Olds, with roller rockers.

That motor looks mean! Thanks for the information but the stock covers wont fit, they sit on top of the rocker arms.If your not running a stud girdle the stock covers should fit. View attachment 72853
No, you're probably hitting the baffles. I few dings with a hammer, and you should be good. Or, look at some of the Olds vendors for some rail spacers. That motor looks mean! Thanks for the information but the stock covers wont fit, they sit on top of the rocker arms.
These are the ones suggested but I like the 2nd option best. Just don't want them too tall for clearance reasons. The first ones look cheap I'm my own opinion. My dad had a similiar issue with his Olds 455. He ended up with a cheap set of tall chrome covers off ebay. Fit and work like a charm. They are both baffled also.
The 2nd ones aren't Olds valve covers. They are small block chevy. These are the ones suggested but I like the 2nd option best. Just don't want them too tall for clearance reasons. The first ones look cheap I'm my own opinion.
