The thing is I was checking the wrong side didn't realize right passenger side was #1 my damper is not marked so I was doin the sparkplug plug feel the pressure when turning it over this is my first build total newb mistakes makes perfection lol

Never seen a damper w/o a mark.

Not to be a jack**s but if you have the expertise to properly install a camshaft you should be able to find TDC. Also on the compression stroke or the exhaust stroke??????????

Well, when my buddy and I tore into his Chevelle at 17 to install the 3/4 race cam, we screwed the pooch, and had to call in reinforcements. IIRC, we had it off and 180 out!

You were not the first to do that and not the last for sure

This has been a pet peeve of mine my whole life - Why didn't they have the timing chain marks line up for #1 to be @ TDC compression stroke instead of #6 ???
