Hey guys,
I have another question. My temp gauge is not working, it is sitting at the zero basically. I replaced the sending unit near the exhaust manifold to no avail. The connector looks good. I have the olds rallye pack with the four little gauges. Any ideas?

Unfortunately you will have to trace the wire to the back of the cluster. Carefully look for breaks in the circuit sheet and clean all contacts gently with a pencil eraser. If you find a break it can be fixed. There is a repair kit for the rear defroster that will work for the cluster circuit also. If the circuit sheet is really bad I think they can be ordered from one of the resto companies. I forget which one.

I had a similar problem, if you place the lead going to the sending unit to ground does the needle move? I also, had to tighten the two little nuts on the back of the gauge cluster for my temp gauge, and that seemed to fix it. You will have to pull the gauge cluster out of the dash, disconnect the speedo cable. You then see two small nuts holding down each of the the gauges just snug them up, ever so gingerly . It may help
