OK, I been toying with this for some time & looking to see if I should sell my Hedman 68318 Elite headers. They are new/never mounted, still have everything they came with but no box. I would like to use them to help pay for a stainless exhaust system. I already have a set of mid '70's manifolds & Pypes down pipes to use instead of the headers. The other thing I am still needing to figure out would be shipping cost. I have checked new prices & have an idea what I would like to get for them but I have make sure its around what someone will pay. It is lower than what Jegs & Summit are selling them for. I can't be insulted by any suggestions since if I sell them it's going to be what someone wants to pay.

Some things that you have to consider is with Jegs and Summit the shipping is free and many people looking for new will go this route so if they have any issues or change their mind they have a place that will fix it or except a return.
I would start by trying to sell locally instead of involving a shipping cost. IMO

That is the detail that has held me up from trying to list them, shipping won't be cheap enough just to do free shipping. The local listing would be the best to see what happens but I like to be able to a member first dibs if those are what someone here is looking for (& I wouldn't have to deal with any jag offs on CL.) Atleast you guys can help me decide to sell or use them as wall art in the garage.

Depends on how much of a loss your willing to take - price has to be good enough to entice someone to buy your headers plus the approximate $40 shipping cost.

I'd be surprised if they could be shipped for $40. You would do best financially to sell them locally but will have to deal with scammers, etc. I think if they are well packed they are worth $600 shipped but that doesn't mean someone else will pay that.

I have those headers on my GP, the only issue with the is the collector flanges are too thin and warp over time letting the ball and socket leak a little. Other than that
I would buy those headers without thinking about it.

Heres what I found this morning online.
Jegs $461.99, Summit $461.97, Northern Auto Parts $499.68, Ebay listing 2 $516.27 & $807.77.
I don't plan on asking a brand new price for my set but finding an amount that could be agreed is the challange. I know I want to buy everything I want as cheap as possible so know everybody else will be looking that wat too. With how shipping cost seems to keep jumping that is what will hurt an asking price.

You need to settle on the lowest price you can live with and mark it up from there and as I already stated stick to local to avoid shipping and PayPal costs.
The problem with most buyers is they think if you are selling something especially if it is new that you are hard up for money and that is where a lot of the low ball offers come from, I have sat on many items for a long time because I am selling because I no longer need the part not because I need the money.
