no crossmember needed...direct swap. it doesn't need moved back or anything. a 350 trans is a direct swap from a 200. simple as pie.

Remember guys... the 3-speed THM-200 (metric 200) is a completely different trans than the THM200-4R overdrive trans.

The TH-350 will bolt right in place of the metric 200. Crossmember/mount/driveshaft all interchange.
I've seen lots of V6 cars with the off-set mount, so make sure you get the correct one you need.
I had to slightly adjust my shifter linkage for it to shift properly.
Kick-down cables are different, and you will need the matching bracket for it on the intake as well.
The trans cooler lines will work with some slight tweaking.

what about the tail shaft? i believe the th200 has the smaller size and the 350 are longer or am i wrong? wouldnt the 350 trans out of say an elcamino have the longer tail shaft and wouldnt be a direct bolt in?

I recently came up on the 2004r crossmember thinking its a direct bolt on to a th350, the guy said it came off a th350 trans, but it didnt fit, even tho it looks exactly the same as a th350 crossmember... Well i did some research and he had a 85 monte carlo, 78-84 i believe had th350 trans and from 85-87 it went into overdrive and the were equipped with the 2004r.. So be careful and get the right crossmember...i was trying to get another crossmember to modify it to run dual exhaust..

2004r crossmember

right click, save as...for future reference.

so to put a th350 in place of the th200 nothing is needed? i have an 86 bonneville with the 3.8 and when i need a transmission i would much rather use a th350, especially if it simply bolts in
