TH400 Kickdown Question

You could make this work.

Maybe I have the wrong cable bracket from Holley. Mine just has a square hole for the cable. I saw this switch when I started looking for one. Its never simple. Or is it and I just dont see it ? LOL

77-80 or 81 gm c body cars came with turbo 400 trannies and the kick down was on the gas pedal. should be able to grab the switch and pedal bracket for a bolt in installation.

I know there is a similar thread, but wanted to post pics here. This is out an 80 olds 98.

Thanks for posting these. I have 3 of them in all different shapes. The one from the pickup is taller than the other two by quite a bit. Do you think if I post pictures of all 3 you might be able to tell me which one looks closest to the the one you have ? I can do it tomorrow. Its hard to tell the shape by the two pictures. One of the 2 shorter brackets I got has a sharp angle.

I'm sure you can be able to use one of those three brackets that you have now. The main thing is those 3 mounting holes need to line up, I have an 84 GP and I used a bracket from a 70's "B" body and it was identical except for the hole for mounting the switch was on the 70's one but not my 84 bracket. The top of the gas pedal rod, (where the throttle cable hooks up) is what actually pushes on the long part of the switch as you floor it, the switch slides up and down.

I'll post the pictures of what I grabbed tomorrow. Like I said theyre all different and one has a sharp angle. I wish one of them had a switch still on it. It would make sizing them up a lot easier.
