I want to thank all my fellow vets for there service and sacrifice for this great country. No matter where or how you served, if you put the uniform on you are a vet. Be proud of your service hold your head high and remember that you will never be alone.
I just came across this thread...thanks to all the vets and their families for making the sacrifices they made to keep our part of the world safe. It's marked on day this but my appreciation never ceases
Thanks to all you veterans who are out there and on this site. I appreciate your service and the service of people who made the choice to join the military (I gave like 10 guys employee discounts today for POW MIA or Vet hats, pins, shirts, jackets, etc. even though I'm not supposed to. ). But I really think that people should truly praise the service of men who were drafted into service and served honorably. People seem to forget that it wasn't always a choice, today there are many reasons to join the military, many are far more beneficial to the joiner than the country. But for the men in Vietnam, Korea, WWII and any other war who were chosen and drafted and gave up their freedom and liberty so that others could enjoy it I have the highest respects. I respect all who serve, but for those who served before the "All volunteer" era I have the highest regards.
I still don't think it's fair to put one American over another whether they served or not... It doesn't make one better than another. There seems to be a feeling that serving the military puts you in a special class of people that are better than people who didn't serve... I think that's unfair. Just food for thought.
