the difference between body lines on a 78 cuttlass and a 82

my freind bought a mint 78 cutlass and got into an accident the day after the master cylinder went out and he clipped a truck . smashed the front clip ,driver fender and hood. its pretty hard to find body parts i found a 82 cutlass front clip for 325 . will this work , will the bodyline line up ?

I am pretty sure it will not. It may physically bolt on but the body lines will likely not line up. Montes, Regals, Cutlass and Grand Prix all went through a major body update in 1981.

I agree. Frames were the same 78-88, but bodies certainly were not.

the doors whe fenders hood and front clip and rear sheet metal are all differet the only thing the same is the roof . all the sheet metal will not interchange
