Nice Malibu great color combo my question is for the amount of money spent on the paint job how come they didn't remove the top and prepped it or even paint it while the sprayed the car then prepped it for a vinyl top but other then the car looks awesome can't wait to get my car in order.

Well a friend of mine agreed to to paint it for me and he's an excellent painter thats painted half million dollar show cars and part of our agreement was that i would de-trim the the car myself and take care of the vinyl top myself to save a little time for him and a little money for me. He owns a very busy collision business and doesnt usually do full custom paint jobs in classic cars anymore so we compromised a little so i could free up space in his shop and he could get back to business making money. Im sure he didnt make much off my car cause he definetely hooked me up. I have to cut and bufff the car myself as well but ive done it before and im not too worried about it.

I bought an NOS emblem for a 79-81 mistakenly thinking they were all the same. Oh well, I'll find something to do with it. If anyone is interested in it I'll sell it!
