The parts fairy was by the house while I was away at work.

Tee he he. 😃

They couldn’t figure out why the block was pink. I said “because it’s an elephant”. Instant deer in headlights mixed with this guy is an idiot. That’s when I stopped talking. Lol

My brother in law knew a guy that painted his hot rod engines pink, I asked him why when I saw his collection of cars, he said the best things were always pink inside.

Check out Dico Dean (street outlaws) Won at Killcare last time we were there.

Haven't stopped in on your build for awhile now Duke...nice progress!
Thanks man. It’s getting there, slowly. Gonna be a beaut when it gets on the road, hoping it gets a reputation for hurting the feelings of all the mustang owners. 👍

Nice "pile o parts" looks like Christmas in Aug in that house...

Gotta get some work done or I’m gonna run out of space for stuff soon. Lol. Pretty excited about this delivery. Stage 4 UMI suspension, gonna be able to turn real good.

Today I got one of the last boxes of goodies that I’ll need from summit. Unfortunately time was not available to get anything done this set of days off but I did get to take the girlfriend to Jasper for a little getaway. So she’s gonna be happy for a while anyway.

Only brakes, trans stuff and intake and a few odds and ends are left to order. Progress this winter should be swift. 😁

Finally time off work and the girlfriend was busy with her stuff so it’s thrash time. Had some perfect working weather and got a lot done.

So here we go! First order of business was to drag the frame out and get it on stands.

Canadian tire had metal sawhorses for $7, so it’s not nearly as treacherous to work on. Haha.

So plan was to box the frame and repair the one body mount that was crusty, and it went very well.

First I got the metal cut and sized up, turns out a 4” price of flat sheet is about the perfect size to make boxing material out of and the local Princess auto had a couple 8’ chunks. Bonus points for the 20 something girl at the front for not realizing I had 2 and charging me for one. Bonus!

So having seen the RKTPWRD thread on his boxing I borrowed a few techniques and slit the metal around the bends for the mid body mounts and it worked perfect. Got it all fit up and coated everything in weld through primer.

Got it all tacked in and made sure everything was good.

Still have to make the cuts for the bottom bushing but the plasma cutter will make that quick.

Welded it out in small sections allowing it to cool, took my time and it turned out pretty awesome.

I’m excited! Time for part 2
