That’s a bittersweet moment Duke.
One the one hand it sucks that the car is officially no longer a runner and will be down for some time, but on the other it’s exciting that another phase of the transformation has begun!

I’m looking forward to following along and seeing that stockpile of shiny new parts you’ve got make it way onto the Regal.
Alls you need now is a catchy name for it...
;)

Good luck with your parts acquisitions today!

Today’s haul of parts checks a couple important things off my list. I can worry less about interior now anyway.

Sold the Trans and rear out of the car, which clears up what could have been clutter in my limited shop space, and in the process made enough to get a MCSS steering column, fast ratio steering box, front and rear seats (which have the delightful combination of cat pee and mildew fresh scent!), plus 2 G body consoles with shifters.

The consoles are a little beat up, gonna need some love, pretty sure the seats are never going to smell good unless I wash them in acid, but it’s something that I can work with and the price was pretty good. Not bad for $350, so in USD that’s like $17.60. ;)

Almost got to check out a car show with Rktpwrd but was utterly distracted by some damn nice cars.

Something about a blown hemi with the block painted pink, makes a guys day. LOL!!! Then listening to a bystander explain to his friend that it was probably a 440 hemi because they were better really topped it off.

Was a pretty good day up here. Time to get some body work done!

Ahhh, the 440 Hemi, it's a shame that they don't get the respect they deserve. Just think of all the races won with the rarest & most powerful Hemi ever used in a Chysler product.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

They couldn’t figure out why the block was pink. I said “because it’s an elephant”. Instant deer in headlights mixed with this guy is an idiot. That’s when I stopped talking. Lol

My brother in law knew a guy that painted his hot rod engines pink, I asked him why when I saw his collection of cars, he said the best things were always pink inside.

I just moved to Red Deer a month ago so if you ever need a hand with car let me know. It'll be nice to meet others with local cars

Made a good amount of progress on the car this week. Finished pulling the motor out and discovered it was a 010 casting 350. So I might make a couple hundred bucks off it. The small wins!

The firewall and under hood area isn’t that bad. The usual messy application of seam sealer and some rough spots to clean up but looks pretty good. There is a daunting amount of work to do but I’ll keep chipping away at it.

Did some of the fender repair on the drivers side. Turns out the monte Carlo outer wheelhouses are not close enough for a repair. Kinda disappointed but I have a plan to fix it.

Started piecing together some sheet metal and forming to patch together a fix. I kinda feel since it’s inner fender that beauty isn’t my primary focus here. It will have a thick enough coating of undercoating that it will hide my lack of metal skill. Hopefully.

But I did manage to score a set of nice AR rims from a buddy that’s been storing them for almost 10years.

I think they will look good. Price was unreal good.
