As everyone knows I am building a little 383 for my elky. It is impossible to know who's rocker arms, and I consider them essential are the best for my build. I am not interested in opinions. All I want is facts. What do you run?

I also have Comp Cams Ultra Pro Magnums on my 355 SBC with a hydraulic roller cam and I have been running Ultra Pro Magnum XD on my 565 Big Block with a solid roller cam for 15 years now.

Thank you sir for your interest. I won't lie, I was looking for a less expensive alternative. But at this point... I have heard of issues with Comp's poly-locks. Have you seen any issues with yours?

I have never had any issues with Comp poly locks, I also use ARP longer rocker studs on both engines and run stud girdles.
IMO failures on a poly lock would be from lack of thread engagement on the nut or overtightening the Allen head screws that lock the nut in place.

MY Isky flat tappet cam has a set of the Comp Roller rockers waiting on an intake upgrade to be installed. The Isky Roller Cam that I have on the books will get the same Comp part number. I have the polylocks but no girdle. This is a road motor, not for street work so the cams themselves are close to stock lift but way longer duration.

What I am hearing from my suppliers is that you have to be extremely picky about from whom you source your lifters. Comp is about the only supplier, apart from someone like Harlan-Sharp, and I wish I had bucks to deal with them, who manufacture lifters in house now. Most went overseas in the big migration a decade or two back and the quality of what came back as a result speaks (little) for itself. (MY PERSONAL OPINION HERE ONLY)

Running Harland Sharp in my 383 stroker. Been beating the dog snot out of it, every oil change i quick pop the valve covers off and inspect and havent found any discrepancies. (im a mechanic by trade i play hard but maintain my things)
