Nice car, welcome.
I'll jump on that bandwagon, LS swaps are overrated and far more complicated to the average guy than they initially seem, especially to do it right.
A different displacement Oldsmobile engine quite literally drops right in place and will still look factory if you like.

Welcome, good looking base to start a nice build. The LS's are hard to beat bang for the buck, but I also like the idea of going 350 so that it is different. I bought mine with the plan to do an LSA and a 6 speed in it. But once I drove the 350 a bit I enjoyed the sound and difference of having an old school feel, I have a GTO so I get to cheat when I want the LS with a 6 speed feel as well so made my decision easier.
Thank you!! , the car is running now with the 307, I would like a little more power nothing to crazy! If the 350 can give me a little more that maybe a better better fit.

I’m building an olds 350, from a 69 cutlass with number 5 heads, edelbrock intake, roller cam, etc. should make close to 400 hp. Plenty to cruise with on the weekends. And a far cry from that 307

that sound good, I'm going to see the 350 a guy wants to sell me for $ 500 to see if it worth it! I posted a picture of it in my previous post.

Welcome to the GBodyForum!
I personally like the old school engine not that I'm opposed to an LS. Whatever it is you decide, we have lots of knowledge here for both platforms. My whole take on everything I do on my car is make it look factory even if it's not.

I have a 83 Hurst all original except for the 5.3 ls and 4l60E trans. Has the computer, electric fans etc. I like the convenience of getting in and starting the key. I had the original HO 307 and metric 200 trans I prefer the modern feel. Still need to add the AC, and get the rally dash speedo and tach to work, but all other gauges I got to work. (gas, temp, oil and volt gauges) Lightning rods work with the 4L60E. too. Nice weekend car with no issues..
