The covers came from a Grand National Concert Sound II speaker setup. Originally, they were covered in black carpet. Dyeing didn't work, so I just took the carpet off and dyed the plastic. Behind the covers are 5 1/4 speakers mounted in door enclosures taken from a 2000 Avalon. If you use these enclosures, you can get by with a flush cover/opening in the door panel.
If I had it to do over, I have seen one that had the speakers toward the rear of the door, just below the arm rest. There is an access hole there in the door skin that will allow the speaker to fit nearly flush, just using the speaker covers that come with the speakers.
They had concert sound II on the GNs? Haha thought That was only in newer regals. That was my guess tho. 2000 Avalon eh? Might have to check into that haha. Id like to buy the actual lower door panel, but $180 is kinda crazy. Considering I am pretty handy when it comes to that kinda stuff lol.
