THE SHOW: STREET OULAWS. YOUR OPINION

You guys do know that a few of those guys were on different Pinks and Pinks all out series. I think this is another Rich Christenson gets rich of crazy guys Racing. But in almost every episode out of there part of the country you will see cops far away in the background with flashers going shutting down those roads. Its fun to watch but you have to be a real Dork to believe that they are able to do this and not draw attention to themselves!!!!

People just need to take the show for what it is. If they did real street racing it would be dark as hell and probably look like sh*t. If you want real street racing I would recommend the 1320 videos on YouTube.

I like the show because it is cars racing. Obviously it is not real street racing, but then again there are NO REAL reality shows and to think different is naive.
As long as you know it is entertainment it is a good show. The cars are interesting and the characters are relateable so it works. All one has to do is look at the street and know it is a well used racing surface and if the cops weren't involved it would never exist. Just how do you think 10 to 20 cars all with trailers and tow rigs could show up control a street for 3 -5 runs and not get busted before the 1st race was over...

I agree with all the above as far as it being scripted. hell when they race for the top 10 it looks like a lighted drag strip! but these are some FAST cars. and flips elco / kamikaze/ was bad a** out of shape down in LA. i will continue to watch till it turns into a reality show.

Just another fake reality show with 55min. of fake drama and 5 min. of what you watch the show for. To me, street racing is having a street legal car, driving it to the race, and then driving it home. These cars are nowhere near street cars.

The guys from the show have spoken about the fact the streets are closed off for filming. Actually if you look at a few of the episodes, they are on an abandoned air strip. A lot of them don't claim to be street driven, just raced on the street as in an unprepped surface. Supposedly there is another list that is off TV that is the actual list. I read an article with Chief and Murder Nova in Hot Rod or Car Craft not too long ago online. With that being said the drama is really lame and I was hoping the Olds was going to Oldsmobile powered.

Fast cars but it's obvious they are not racing on the "street". No more than the guys on Moonshiners are not making illegal moonshine on TV for everybody to see.
I tell you what , some of there races are on private stretches of road. But I can personally vouch for the last show ,where they were in ' the dirty south". And where they raced IS a regular everyday public street. Mind you it is in an a part of town that is quite deserted at some times of the day. But they did race there as do many other guys in my area. The street has as much rubber as a race track. You would have to see it to believe it.
Any by the way I watch the show every chance I get. I wish I had the money that those guys spend on there street racers.

I watch it........somehow I always get sucked in. I hate the B.S. tough guy talk..........."I'm going to bust his *ss" maybe I'm homophobic but it kind sounds strange to me. Here in Mnpls area I feel lucky we have a couple of nice weekly car shows to go to. There is street racing going on in front of my work......usually Sunday afternoons. There is so much rubber on the road it is unbelievable! They are running 1/8 mile max there is no shut down area and the road comes to a T at both ends. Sooner or later something is going to happen. Just last week you can see tire marks that hit the curb with a huge scrape down it. I just hope these idiots don't ruin it for the rest of us who want to keep going to our weekly car shows. Rock Falls Wisconsin isn't that far if they want to go to the proper place and race on the track!

seems the show has brought back some interest in fast cars around here, as far as street racing , none of us can afford the consequences that come with being busted. we are talkin bout starting a list of our own, but ....... we will be at our local drag strip mostly. ( I did run a ford focus st ( guy talked to much sh*t about his "tuner " car) . he now just talks excuses 8) .

I watch the show with my 13 year old son and the interest he has gained both impresses and scares me ( particularly Flips Elco ). I am impressed that my son ( and a couple of his friends ) are a little more interested when I open the hood of my car. However it scares me to hear how he also trash talks with his buddy about getting his first car ( Skyline dreams ) and going racing with it, "nevermind the cops 'cause they wont be able to catch me" are common things they say. It really scares the crap out of me to think my kid ( or the neighbors ) may take the family car and go racing like he's a street outlaw with an "F" the police attitude. Between Outlaws and the F&F franchise I think we may have a bunch of street racers ( and their deaths ) coming up in the next few years. I am trying to teach my kid to keep it on the track ( and seem to be failing ) but how many others are doing the same ??

rant over 🙂
