A JOKE, if they are so fast why aren't they doing HOT Rod drag week? The show is so BAD (POOR) that I can't even watch it. I'm not a betting man, but would bet a beer that most of those cars would NOT even make day two of drag week. And how many of them can run in the 6's every day for a week? Can they even run a full quarter mile or is that also TOO far? And the BS, I don't have a pair of boots that are high enough to keep the BS from running over the top. I'll even challenge them to a 200 mile interstate drive at at least 60 MPH & a two out of three quarter mile race at the end. Oh and lets throw in a 2 hour idle period in 90 degree heat & then a few laps around a road course. Street car Bull S__t, my .03 cents. Bob Jr.

They're called street cars because they race on the street. They've never claimed to be daily drivers. And they've showed several times big chief and murder nova cruising around on the street.

I watch the show with my 13 year old son and the interest he has gained both impresses and scares me ( particularly Flips Elco ). I am impressed that my son ( and a couple of his friends ) are a little more interested when I open the hood of my car. However it scares me to hear how he also trash talks with his buddy about getting his first car ( Skyline dreams ) and going racing with it, "never mind the cops 'cause they wont be able to catch me" are common things they say. It really scares the crap out of me to think my kid ( or the neighbors ) may take the family car and go racing like he's a street outlaw with an "F" the police attitude. Between Outlaws and the F&F franchise I think we may have a bunch of street racers ( and their deaths ) coming up in the next few years. I am trying to teach my kid to keep it on the track ( and seem to be failing ) but how many others are doing the same ??

rant over 🙂

My kids were similar at that age, but They now go to the track for fun with me. For me this is an easy solution since the track is only 10 miles from my house and every Friday night is open drags and test and tune from 5-8

so did everyone laugh their *ss off at the 'grand finale' staged crash episode commercial that just came out whats next are they going to flash cautionary pictures of Paul Walker as Morgan Freeman pretends to be god chastising street racers culminating in the resolution of a bunch of 'street racers' agreeing to 'go legal' and taking 'safety pledges' ?! TV is nothing but state media sponsored propaganda and trash. Sickening.

First off, I love this show. I don't care where the people race, rather it's a track or closed off street. I'm not a big fan of street racing because of the risks it poses to other drivers in some situations. I wish there were more tracks in certain areas, so you could always get your racing fix.

While I know the races are closed off, it seems like some of their "passes" are public, but of course, I could be wrong.

I'm not hard to please when it comes to car shows...I like everything that i've seen except Phantom Works. I do miss 'Pass Time' though. 😢

I still watch it. and if turbo's are the way of the future, why are the top 2 cars ( er truck ) nitrous motors! I am looking to bolt on a super charger for my STREET car,

Big chief is number two, and has a turbo car. He beat 'monza' and his nitrous camaro last week.

Also, I follow Andrade on Twitter and he just finished a turbo LS swap in his cutlass. He also changed to big tires. And he's posted pics driving it around town and on the highway.

If my choices are, Street outlaws or Big brother or bachelor I will watch street outlaws every time! However, it is disappointing because it is not real street fighters actually racing on the streets. I used to run the Ft. Worth street race scene. The real deal racing is not ten cars piled up on trailers making "quick pulls". Real racers go to tracks to tune then drive their cars to the streets Friday and Saturday nights. Drop a bundle of cash, hit the gas, then get the hell outta Dodge. Go to the next make shift quarter mile stretch and hope the cops don't show. Scatter like roaches if they do! The crowds get to big, a select few people run interference say a fake meet follow suite. The real race happens elsewhere. None the less, the show is ok to watch for what it is, really pretty, go fast goodies making speed the fun way! Stagged or not, it is an ok show. I just hate the lies of street racing, because clearly it is not! JMHO
