From the way the car sounded when the let off the gas, it probably had 4:11 gears minimum.
About 8 family members and I went to a large car show years ago and my grandma only liked a handful of the cars. Pointing to a lowered classic with a 4" cowl hood, custom paint, and bigs 'n' littles she said, and I quote- "Why would anyone do that to a perfectly good car?", which made my dad and I laugh pretty hard. She was a saint but was content driving a shoebox. Was standing outside a restaurant with my grandma and she said ew what was that, apparently she wasn't very happy to see the Trans Am like I was.
Gotta give mine credit that as a young kid I always remember her driving stick carsAbout 8 family members and I went to a large car show years ago and my grandma only liked a handful of the cars. my grandmother was born in 1900. last car she owned and drove from 1966 to 1987 was a '66 AMC Rambler. it was supposed to be my car but my younger brother got ahold of it and it was destroyed within 6 months...literally, by fire.About 8 family members and I went to a large car show years ago and my grandma only liked a handful of the cars. Ouch. I hope you never let him forget it either. "Hey Randy, remember that cool old car grandma had, the Rambler? Yeah, the one with the 390... You melted my car Randy."my grandmother was born in 1900. last car she owned and drove from 1966 to 1987 was a '66 AMC Rambler. it was supposed to be my car but my younger brother got ahold of it and it was destroyed within 6 months...literally, by fire.
that's the problem. he denies it was ever supposed to be my car, even though our mother said it was supposed to go to me. he brought it home from Albuquerque to San Antonio summer of '88. then he drove it to Atlanta for his second year of college. I never even got to see it as I was working that summer away from home. he didn't even have it 4-5 months there. it broke down in the small town where he went to college so he left it on the side of the road down the street from his dorm and then during some weekend frat party a few weeks later some a-hole threw a torch in it and it went up in flames. still pisses me off 36 yrs later!Ouch. I hope you never let him forget it either. "Hey Randy, remember that cool old car grandma had, the Rambler? Yeah, the one with the 390... You melted my car Randy."
