I can't comment on either since I don't have experience with then if that's what you mean.
I noticed that in the post I made with the link you disliked it I thought it was because of the kit.

I was very careful removing the valve body trying not to loose any of the check balls.

The two methods I can think of to remove the pump is, one, the designated puller, and two, using a large screw driver and be careful not to damage the surfaces. I was able to remove the pump using method two
Having the ATSG Techtran manual would be beneficial to have.

I meant to hit the like. What you're doing here is great.

My apologies

Thanks joe.

I do plan on buying a repair manual soon.
Today managed to pull the front pimp off. Anyone recognize this tool lol. I used what i had. It worked for me too.

So I noticed some unusual wear on the stator support teeth. See at the very bottom of the teeth is has some marks. And there on both sides of the teeth. Good thing the kit comes with a new stator support.

If you follow chevy high performance magazine you may have seen that you can chirp the tires with these without even needing a shift kit, all you need is a stronger/stiffer accumulator spring. These trannys are actually really good

Every 2004r overhaul should include replacing the stator support and sun shell with new hardened pieces. i would also replace those torx head fasteners with regular m6 x 1.0 bolts.

Keep up the good work.
