I’m curious to see what that one brings.

Any guesses?

$5045 and reserve not met. Now I’m feeling really about buying my Malibu for the price I paid.

It was a non-AC car too.

The white Monte sold for $4800.

Many years ago one of my friends from work told me his family wanted to get rid of his late grandmothers Malibu. It was the same color as that one. The car had under 15K miles. She worked in an office less than 1 1/2 miles from her house. Needless to say I was all over it. The next night I followed my friend to the house. They only wanted $1500 for the car. V6, no AC. I was thinking this was the deal of the century. The house was a big old two story south of the highway and it looked mint. The yard was perfect. The car was parked outside of a 3 car detached garage. I figured it was garage kept its whole life. WRONG. The grandmother always parked the car in front of the closest bay of the garage. Since it was new. The old lady didnt want to manually open the door and she never got an opener. Turna knows whats south of the highway out here. THE BAY. The salt air ruined it. I dont know what was the worst part of the car. Door bottoms were just about gone. A pillars rotted. Under the hood was just a mass of rusted metal. Corners of the hood rotted. The tan interior was dried out, dash cracked. It has quarter sized rust spots on the trunk lid and roof. I was kinda bummed. LOL
In the end the guy that used to maintain it for the grandmother bought the car. Im sure he got it for next to nothing.
