I was wondering what kind of exhaust some of you are running on your olds? I was wanting to run true duals on mine. Is there enough room under the cutlass for dual exhaust? What size pipes? X-pipe or H-pipe? Is there clearance for long tube headers or do I need shorties? I was thinking about magnaflow mufflers on mine, I have two on my 1990 454 ss and love em. I have true duals on my truck with 3in pipe, 2 magnaflow cats, x-pipe, mufflers and 3.5in tips. I kinda want to do something similar to my cutty.

Do you have to have it inspected? I ran long tube headers on my 461 olds with 2.5" true duals, flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Sounded pretty aggressive.

I've got 3 inch duals on my cutlass and anytime there is a speedbump or little bump in the road it hits the exhaust.

I do have to have it inspected, but I don't have to pass an emissions test.

3" dual on my GP, with flowtech longtube headers.

the exhaust is meant to run along the passenger side of car, so you will need modifications to crossmember or an aftermarket crossmember.

plenty of room for muflers under rear floors

I can go over large bumps without hitting or scraping. You just gotta be smart about tucking the exhaust up as high as possible.

what kind headers are you using? Perhaps they sit lower under the car than others? Is you car lowered? Do you have alot of suspension travel?

They are shitty flotech headers. Cars not lowered. What do you mean by suspension travel?

I've got flotechs as well... not sure what model, but they do sit pretty low to the ground. My car is stock height infront. But I still don't get rub or scraping when I go over bumps. I've even gone over big bumps at speed, and there was no problems.

... suspension travel... as in, alot of cars setup for drag racing may have very soft front suspension... meaning, the suspension has alot of up/down guhsyness. If such is the case, you might be bottoming out at speeds on a big bump, and scraping the xhaust.
