Thanks and I know that with the 403 all the accessories will bolt right up now justa find a set of headers dont want to choke her to death. I appreciate the input manThe Olds 307 is a great motor for getting groceries but is not a good platform for performance. They are a small cube engine with poor head options especially after 85' with the crappy swirl port heads. You're better off starting with a 403 or 350 which will physically swap right in. Do a search on the topic and you'll find it has been beat to death.
Thanks man like I said I haven't messed with these olds motors muchI don't think headers are a cost efficient purchase with stock 403 heads. The exhaust ports very restricted from what I hear. Find some early 350 heads and do a cam swap.
