trans mount help please about to put motor in

hey guys. i need to know what trans mount do i need to use. i have a 1981 pontiac grand prix im running a chevy 355 with a th350 trans. i have the crossmember for a th-350 for the car but am not sure what mount im suppose to go with. i seen one mount that had the rubber actually offset off of the metal part of the mount. any pics or info would be of great appreciation

Does the transmission have a long or short tail housing?

I believe V8 cars used the standard mount, and V6 cars used the off-set mount.
Here's an off-set one...

Buy both if you're worried about which one to get, and then just return the one you don't use.

that actually is what the mount that came off the transmission looked like and it supposely came out of a cutlasswith 350 engine and th350 trans. thats why im wondering

And that Cutlass was most likely originally a V6 car. If your crossmember was froma v6 cat then that's the mount to use.
