i just took out a buick 4.1 and dropped a oldsmobile 307 my question is what type of trans is in a 1983 buick with a buick 4.1 and will that trans hook up to a oldsmobile 307 please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am guessing it's either a TH200, or a 200-4r overdrive... but not 100% sure on this...
... I can however tell you that BOP (Buick/Olds/Pontiac) had one style of transmission bell housing bolt pattern, and Chevy's had another.
so, your Buick 4.1L trans will built up to a olds 307 engine. I believe the 200-4r transmissions had dual bolt pattern, so they bolt up to BOPs and Chevys.
its not the overdrive trans so it is the th200, and your saying it will bolt up to the 307, and if so it will be two bolt holes not being used is that ok
