i swear by wix filters and I have cast aluminum pan from patc on my 700r4. came with allen head bolts...no leaks from there, mine leaks from one of the bolts from tailshaft housing

Ah, just dab some red loctite on them, torque them to 110%, cross fingers and forget it. 🙂

Aluminum pans usually have thicker flanges, and not as easy to bend as the thin stamped steel. But make sure everything is flat and straight, and use a good quality gasket. NO CORK!

You can't just torque them once and walk away. The gasket most times, will take a bit to "set", so you may have to retorque after a few heat cycles. (Unless you red loctite them!!! <---just joking, don't do that)

Ditto the blue Loktite. You may want to get them off some day. I have learned to schmear some Permatex Ultra Black on every stinking gasket I use. No leaks.
