Trick a freinds day showed us back in the late '80's was to use a thin coat of thick grease to hold the gasket to the pan regardless of type of pan used. He had a can of military automotive/artillery grease that was perfect for this. He always said not to use any "glue" sealant cause it might make its way into the fluid.I use Hylomar blue with a gasket to seal my aluminum trans pan.
