I'll be the naysayer, overdrives were never worried about until widely available.The 400 is almost unbreakable under most circumstances and goes well with big torque, if you aren't running highway all the time don't worry about the overdrive along with the costs to build a 200R4 right. Three speed trans, low gears, and torque make for a fun car everyday......
