transmission in a 78-79 cutlass supreme

Pretty sure all the automatics were the wonderful TH200. There was an available T-50 5spd od standard trans.

X2. but im sure the Th350 was also an option if you wanted it.

Th-200, th-250, or th-350 if you're lucky. 200r4 wasn't used till about '84. My bet is a Th-200.
 
I really wish they would add the 250 to those lists. A lot of our cars had them and it is very easy to confuse a 250 for a 350 unless you KNOW what to look for. The pan does NOT distinguish the two.

the 250 has a band adjust screw sticking out of drivers side..the 350 doesnt

I know that.. .now. BUT anyone looking at those lists will have NO idea the 250 is even possible. It is not listed anywhere. They all say "if the pan is shaped like this... it can only be a 350". There are no assteriks saying "it can also be a 250"
 
I thought I had a TH350C. Found the band adjuster. Fried it first time behind my 403. It did have a ton of reliable miles behind the original 307. I realized I had a dude performance wise.
