the 250 has a band adjust screw sticking out of drivers side..the 350 doesnt
I know that.. .now. BUT anyone looking at those lists will have NO idea the 250 is even possible. It is not listed anywhere. They all say "if the pan is shaped like this... it can only be a 350". There are no assteriks saying "it can also be a 250"
the adjustment isnt on the driver side its on the passenger side behind the cooling lines. Pic is uploaded to show. The 200, 250, and 350 were all 13 bolt pans, the only difference was the 350 was wider and a bit shallower than the other too. You more than likely had the 200, or 250. The 260 didnt produce enough HP from factory to have anything bigger. It was also an option to have a 5 speed Manual installed but i heard alot of guys say the 5 speed would shatter due to clutch dumps and high torque engine swaps.

Doesn't the 200 have a TV cable vs the kickdown cable and vacuum modulator of the 250/350's?

^^^Correct^^^. I believe the TH200 is the only one of the 3 that says "metric" on the pan. It also has an integral extension housing rather than a bolt-on like the TH250/TH350.

My '81 Calais had the 260 and TH350 trans...was a dog for sure but it did fine with the factory TH350 & all the options it had. The later swapped-in Olds 350 admittedly did much better...hell, a hamster would've been an improvement

Yes you are right. but in 81 was when things changed. Not much but the 350 transmission was changed to have the electric lockup torque convertor solenoid as a standard option to allow for better MPG ratings. the 200 metric was more common behind 6 bangers than v8's because of there low torque and EXTRAVAGENT 85 hp  . Alot of the cutlass's and Regals ive owned were either the Th350C or the 200Metric with the v6. I could barely ever find a V8 car but when i did, it the th350c or a 200r4. Ive owned one cutlass that had the 250 and it was junk.
