Transmission making Hissing Noise

Well, I am glad it just turned out to be the catalytic converter and not an angry snake like Monte Olrac said.

I like being diverse enough to be able to do the repairs correctly, or really really incorrectly! :lol:

Well, it was definitely the cat! The substrate material had managed to cut itself into a nice little 3 in diameter plug, exit the cat and promptly plug the mid pipe! I got it out and dealt with the remainder of it, and it made a HUGE difference in performance. From a 25 mph roll in 1st, I hit it and spun the tire till I was passed 50. it either means the car has lots of power, or it really needs a posi. I tend to think it is a little of both. Anyhow, the next issue to be dealt with will be the rear suspension, specifically the upper arm bushings. I will probably go pull a set off another car so I can rebuild them before I take my car apart.
