Thought about a 400, but would have to shorten the driveshaft. Guess it aint gonna be easy. Time for mister welder and drill motor.

according to this the C tailshaft is a difference of 7/16 comapred to the 2004r so i would doubt that would be enough to need to. but for the two other lengths they have listed, ya your right

This may help you. You can see you have around a 6" difference in length to the mounting pad between the trannys. You may be able to fashion an adapter. Or you could get one from iceman. http://www.maliburacing.com/iceman/ Or some other aftermarket manufacturer.
Good lookin guys. I knew this wasn't gonna be cakewalk, but gonna get this done 1 way or another. Gonna keep ya posted about which direction I'm goin. I'm a commercial electrician, so maybe I'll fab something outta kindorff or something. 😀
