That's what I didn't want to hear. Damn. No way to modify to fit? Was on ebay and there was one for the th350 and 2004r and they looked similar. Thought there was another set of holes along frame to move the xmember up.
 
you should have went for another 200 4-r or a th400 because they use the same crossmember
 
Thought about a 400, but would have to shorten the driveshaft. Guess it aint gonna be easy. Time for mister welder and drill motor.
 
So what exactly is different in the 2004r and th350 transmission xmembers?
 
This may help you. You can see you have around a 6" difference in length to the mounting pad between the trannys. You may be able to fashion an adapter. Or you could get one from iceman. http://www.maliburacing.com/iceman/ Or some other aftermarket manufacturer.

Good lookin guys. I knew this wasn't gonna be cakewalk, but gonna get this done 1 way or another. Gonna keep ya posted about which direction I'm goin. I'm a commercial electrician, so maybe I'll fab something outta kindorff or something. 😀
