I'm putting a 700r4 transmission in my 1983 cutlass. I have a G force crossmember to fit it as well. Is it a certain transmission mount I need because I'm having trouble getting the transmission to line up with the crossmember so I can bolt it down

That's because the strock A/G bodies used a crappy offset transmission mount. Trying to use the standard mount doesn't line up. What I did was cut off and relocate the tab on the stock cross member and then a poly mount fit. I would have thought the G-Force would use the better mount location. Maybe try both types and see?

Ok I will try to modify it. It would seem that the g force would go in with no problem but it want. Thanks for the info.

Here's a pic of my adapted poly mount, and the stock crummy one. The tab was moved about 3 inches to starboard.

I have a 700r-4 in my 84 cutlass with gforce crossmember and used a stock 700 mount from camaro and had no problems. There might be another issue there.

What kind of misalignment are we talking here? Left/right or fore/aft? If left/right then what I said applies, but fore/aft could be the cross member attachments at the frame rails.

The transmission mount bolt is sitting to the driver side of the crossmember hole. I'm not sure if I need a different mount or what. Looks like the motor is sitting in like it suppose to
