Can somebody help identify what model transmission this is. The Seller tells me it came out of a El Camino. Sorry this is the only pic he sent me.

That looks like a 700-R4 or a 4L60 overdrive. Has a 3.06 first gears, so works great with 2.41-3.08 rear axle ratios. See the 'K'? That's the heavy-duty case that comes in S-10s on up to full-size Blazers and pickups. There should be a square electrical connector on the opposite side with four pins/holes. The black cable is the throttle position sensor cable, not to be confused with the kickdown cable used on TH350s. Use care setting this up on your carb, so the trans does not eat itself.

Thanks for the info. How do I go about setting it up on carberator?
