Trim and Emblem replacement questions?

I have a couple of questions about replacing the wheel trim in this picture. After removing the screws i pointed out in this picture. Which way does the trim slide and do i need any special tooling?

I also need to install the truck lock emblem. Is there a special rivet i need to get to use to make this work. I have a NOS emblem for this.

I will also be replacing the vinyl bumper trim later this week as well.

no special tools needed looks like you missed a screw at the bottom rear of the wheel opening molding also check the front of the molding in the door opening sometimes there is a screw as for the flat parts of the molding usually there are plastic clips holding it on gently pry those pieces off using a plastic pry tool so as to not scratch the paint i would do that on the bottom of the molding in case you mess up the paint it won;t show so bad ... as for the rear emblem use whatever rivet fits the hole the top hole looks pulled out you need to push that back down so the emblem fits flush and touch up the paint so it doesn;t rust

So it pry's off? is there a stud or clip that holds it tight to the body? Also yes on the paint for the trunk, i have a touch up direct bush to take care of that little issue.

there is usually a stud that holds the clip on .. i doubt the clips bolts from the inside like the older cars. you can also wiggle the molding up and down to get it off that clip try that first

Use a shim (think thin plastic like a 3/4 X 5" strip of a milk jug) to get behind the molding and slide the clip to where the slot in the clip is bigger than the pin. These can be installed either way so you might pull forward or back to get it loose.

Note the slot has a large hole and a small hole in it. You are sliding it from the small hole to the large hole to remove it. Should just come off no prying or wiggling needed.

Ok next question. this clip on the under side of the truck lid. Does this just pry out? does it ultimately hold the lock assembly?

So i found the broken lock cover, and disassembled it. i am not sure how they were able to get the rivet shot into the bottom mounting hole.

Here is the rivet hole normally covered by the top cover.

And i don't see a way to reinstall the spring on the cover once the bottom rivet is is shot into the hole.
