you should install that kit, remove the handles but dont shave them yet, do that for a few weeks before deciding if you want to. i did my regal and its a project, them things drive me nuts sometimes lol

thats good advise also if you ever want to run it at the track you better leave the handles or it wont pass tech at least around here it wont

Yea if you have to pass emissions standards regularly in your area, don't do it, they will suspend registration on the vehicle until the handles(or doors for that matter) are replaced and back were they belong.

In Mini Truckin' Magazine they actually sell magnets that look like door handles(kinda like stick on headlights on drag cars), so that if you shaved them, you can stick the faux handles on the side of your vehicle to lower the likeliness of getting pulled over on cruise night. When cops get board they WILL pull you over for that(and when they do, they will start to visually pick your car apart, pointing out anything that may be illegal, and scrutinizing your ever modification).

I've said it before, but I'll say it again...Check your local laws regarding major mods like that, there may be a loop hole. Like I have said before...Here in Wisconsin, shaved door handles are legal only on vehicles with Hobbyist plates.

You can use a factory door lock solenoid, custom mounted inside the door to the handle linkage. And if you already have a multi-function remote car alarm, you can simply hook them up to that.
In fact if you don't now have an alarm, compare the costs of a shaved door kit with an alarm that has the capabilities of a spare operating circuit, especially if you have some spare solenoids laying around...you may find it costing about the same.

nope it is a seriously worked 2.2L 4 banger check it, and it will spank most of the 6cyl trucks around here along with most of the rice burners and it is quiet lol

you have the 5 spd? The autos are slushy and slow but the 4.3 and 5spd is a pretty stout combo. I heard the 2.2 can make some good power with a turbo kit, that link isn't workin for some reason

I'm thinking about supercharging my v6 silverado, and the next engine in the cutlass (in a long time from now) is either going to be a 400sbc or a turbo 4.3
