So my trunk has ice in the lower wells. Checked the wheel wells for holes and such, no rust. The passenger side is worse then the drivers. I do know that the trunks seal is not sealing well, but that is and easy fix.

I was thinking of just tarring it or cauking it then covering it with automotive sealent. Guidence appreciated.

look at yer trunk seal, if its dry rotted or cracked its no working. also check around the lip the seal sits on there might be rust there its sneaking by. DONT USE CAULK! go get a proper rubber trunk seal and install it. it prolly as easy as installing the under hood seal, or as hard as installing the driver or passenger window seal. i dont know because i have an elky, but using caulk is a big no-go.

there are drain holes at at the front of the wells that are probably blocked and not allowing the water to drain.

Yeah for the seal I was gonna replace it anyways,, the caulk or sealant is for the wheel wells.

Found the drain holes that was the issue. Thanks

yw...the drain holes are not big and where they are located it's common that they get pugged...each spring I make sure those and the drain holes for the doors are clear..
