started reassemble the cutlass and.. i'm missing the trunk latch. going to salvage yard looking for a one before i purchase it new. does anyone know what cars use the same trunk latch as the 87s. electric release would be nice.

I think any full and mid size GM cars use the same latch if they have a trunk, hatchbacks are different. I got a latch from an 85 Coupe Deville and it looks the same as my Monte one.
As for power release, you’ll usually find them on higher end cars, like Cadillacs. Don’t forget the release button, it’s usually in the glovebox.
