Is there a good write up on how to swap out the torsion bars for shocks ?

On what?

Why? The torsion bars last the life of the car.

And unlike shocks....they're never gonna to let you down. 😉

It would give me more room for my subwoofer box I plan on having built. Need as much airspace as i can get.

This computes. However, I'm not sure how you would do that. I mean, getting rid of the torsion bars themselves is easy. I'm not sure about the boxes and whether it would affect the hinge points. I don't even know of a writeup that exists to do it and make it look good. I saw a couple of hack videos about some jury rigged crap, but that's all it was.
