Turbo buick 3.8 camshaft help

I too have messed with intercooled turbo Buicks since the early 1990s. I'm not putting a small block Chevy in a car that's this low of production. As I've stated in my other posts, I don't care if it's a 16 second car. The grooved cam bearings are not needed with a replacement style cam. They were going to be needed with a GN cam. I thought I had a stock 87 GN cam here somewhere but couldn't find it. Going with the Edelbrock 81Cutlass recommended.
I was looking at the reviews on that cam on Summit. Did you notice this......
"Note. With this cam it is recommended to use their timing chain and gear setup, or your cam will go in a few degrees slightly (opposite of advanced) timing wise. (This applies to using late model timing chain/gear setups)"

Not sure if this applies to you or not but thought it was worth pointing out.

Might be worth doing the tube connecting the galleries anyway.

The later engines used tensioners, I think, that's maybe what that comment is in reference to.

I have that edelbrock cam and intake set up in my 84 231 V6 and haven't had any issues.
