Sorry Tony, you got me going. I actually worked at the factory where the P-47's were produced here in Evansville, IN., when it was a Whirlpool refrigerator plant. Our local wartime museum has acquired one in recent years.
Our local Chrysler plant also produced the hell out of .45ACP bullets, to the tune of over 3.2 BILLION rounds.
That is very cool 😎

And yes I believe she was the largest fighter. Having 8... yes 8 50 caliber machine guns. Old school hell fire. And 2000 horsepower.
