On my 86 cutlass, the power lead for the underhood light connector is a brown colored connector and is located as stated before between the brake booster and wiper motor area.
All I have is another male end plug there,no other plugs coming out. I'm still no closer to finding the wire. Can anyone PLEASE go take a pic of it?

I would if I still had my car....

I looked on my 79 Monte, it has the hood light but no connector. Goes right to the fusebox.

I'm thinking the seller must have pulled it off of another GM product and listed it as fitting a G-Body. I'll have to send him a message on Ebay and ask what he got it off of,and probably find a hot wire nearby and splice it in. That's exactly what I didn't want to do.......crap.

I wouldn't waste time contacting the seller.
If the light works mount it on your hood and make sure that it has a clean metal where it mounts.
Run the wire for the light to an existing hot wire in your engine compartment (preferably one that is unused at this point)
If you find a wire that will work but has a different end then neatly route the hood light wire until it meets the hot wire.
Go to your local auto store and buy a male/female quick disconnect for the proper gauge wire( weathertight style would be best).
If you are not sure what gauge wire you have either bring the light or cut the end off the light with an inch of wire left on it to match it.
Cut the ends off both wires and strip and install one end on each and crimp with a crimping tool.
If there is no hot wire in the engine compartment you can run the wire to the fuse box, there should be a terminal marked "bat", this would require changing the end to a male terminal.
Or you could use a tap that crimps on to an existing hot wire in the engine compartment.
Once you are done the light should come on when you open the hood.
