I was looking for Olds stuff at the swap meet today, and found this... It feels like solid brass. $5 bucks...I'll take it! Just thought it was cool. It has a chain on the back for wall hanging. I will polish it, and hang it up in the office/trophy room.

Super cool plaque. $5? Steal of the day. It's sad to think that GM lost he Olds mojo and shut it down twenty years later at 107 years old. I guess that's a decent lifespan.😕

Pretty neat. Back then, the Olds dealers got lots of cool swag for kickin' it on the sales. There were ash trays, tie tacks and cuff links, and decals, and lots of brick a brack. That is a cool plate. I saw one at my Olds dealer in 86 but it was a little different as I remember. Wasn't quite as big and it wasn't concave like yours. Either way, it's some cool stuff.

I just thought of something to add here. My dad bought a new 84 Calais in 1984. So it's kinda nice to know that he is included as one of those million plus sales.

I ordered mine in 84, but it wasn't built until February 85, so it didn't count in 84's numbers.

Funny how when a company builds cars people want to buy, they sell. Saw a video on how Cadillac has shrunk from the majority of the luxury market to a tiny percentage. A few bad decisions drives customers away, getting them back is much harder, especially with all the competition. Too bad, they have their own V8 again and some interesting cars. Cool find.
