The motor came straight from my other 87. I believe it is a delay motor.

You need to research the originality of your system, what you have, what is compatible and move forth. I did that change out, not knowing the difference in years and spent a week figuring it out. The later's switched positive and the earlier models switched negative. It takes time to figure it out and there ain't no easy answer. Sit down, pour youself a drink, grab your test light and meter and explore. You will find it.
