well after a long ignorant problem after problem the 442 is finally coming to an end, the 307 is on the floor waiting a rebuild, the 355 animal is in the car, i finally got the fender changed after dropping the 307 on it, have a g force cross member on the floor just waiting for my new transmission mount and headers, once i got the remaining parts i can close the hood an wait for summer to roll on in.
now the good times start, i took the 355 animal from the 82 and dropped it in the 442, i have a 72 4 bolt main block untouched sitting on the floor, i got new bearings, new 30 over trw 12 to 1 pistons, total seal rings, edelbrock rpm heads, rpm intake 750 holley double pump, lunati cam, cant remember the exact specs, but it is abit higher then the edelbrock cam designed for the rpm package more lift i think and more duration, have 1.6 comp roller tip rockers, headmen full length headers and a magna flow exhaust, now soon as that is done i finally got the full interior, headliner, seats front and back, dash, steering column, carpet and every piece of molding for the inside, the car has been painted a few years ago and has sen track time only i decided to save the car and just briong her back to the streets, should be fun, as it already has the full edelbrock suspension installed, control arms and rears are the chrome tubular style it has the 373 7.5 which many say is junk, i can argue all day as to how tough that diff is, it has been in 5 cars so far and still survives.... i have the center line fluted hawk rims on the car 16 inch with 245 50 16 on rear and 225 50 16 on the front, she handles like a dream.... will get photos as the car is once transformed from drag to street ....
