Thanks. I was going to paint it black, but then decided against it. The nice thing with a lighter colored engine is that you can see things better under the car. When I had an oil leak on the 350 that was in it, it was easy enough to find, as it showed up against the gold color.

Plus the polished aluminum parts and the satin, and aluminum paint go well together with the black.

Just trying to get a theme going.

I like this picture. 🙂

Man that looks pretty damn good..............I am originally from Erie, I love that City....Anyways I will be there in a few weeks over the labor day weekend...Any drag races or car shows going on ???

Every Monday there is a car show down at the lake, near the dock.

Every weekend there is some action at drag city out in lowville. Track isnt all that great, but for local, I guess its ok.

Looks good. I usually favor two colors like a black block or block & pan with everything else cast or silver and then say distributor & wires matching red or something. Some contrast can be good but you can still get the contrast other ways. I feel you on the finding oil leaks on the other side it can cover small leaks & keep it from showing the road grime etc. Depends on whats most important to the owner.
