Hi.

I have just purchased s10 spindles, and have begun looking for parts to upgrade my brakes in front.

What would you go with?
-C5 corvette brakes in front (requires a change of wheels and tires)
-Blazer brake upgrade(can use the existing wheels and tires)

Are the added costs worth the benifit of the larger c5 brakes?

Later on i will add ls1 rear brakes for my 8.5 rear end. But im thinking they can go with both setups so thats not an issue.

Im hoping someone who has tried both can give me some tips,

Tim

If you go with ls1 rear brakes you will not be able to run most 15" steel wheels. Depending how you plan to use the car will make the difference if it is worth spending the money for larger rims ,more expensive tires and the caliper/rotor upgrade. The blazer brakes work really well in stock type setup if you have a good set of pads.

My wheels are a bent quite much. I have had them balanced, but they're on the brink of "unbalancable" due to the weights needed for it.

Since i know have the blazer spindle it makes me wonder. Whether i buy c5 brakes or blazer brakes for the spindles doesnt really matter financially. I cant get neither of them here, so importing them makes everything exspensive anyhow.

So. Maybe the C5 vette brakes is a better option.
That is, if they brake any better than the blazer upgrade..
