My supply line comes out of the frame driver side and I need to run a line to passenger side to the fuel pump. Can I run it on top the cross member near the oil pan? How close can it be to the oil pan and what if it touches?

Might be easier to just run a line along the passenger frame rail like the factory set up for Chevy & Buick engines.

Connected with a short piece of fuel hose I initially ran a hard line covered with slip loom on my 84 for quite a few yrs. I formed it to fit snug to the oil pan zip tied the line to bolts threaded into the side of the block above the pan rail.
