Vacuum source for vacuum brake booster conversion

the power master system requires maintenance. It needs the fluid changed out every year if you want it to survive from what I read.

Nothing wrong with a vac setup. I just feel better with the hydroboost so that is the way I went.

I didn't like the look of the iron and I had read that the Cadillac one would bolt on. It went right on for me and has been on there for several years. Working great for me. The part number is in that thread I linked.

Does anyone have the part number for the Aluminum Hydraboost master cylinder?

I looked up the referenced early 80's Cadillac diesel and they showed a cast iron master cylinder for hydraboost on Rockauto. The Aluminum ones all show for the vacuum brakes only.

My car (82 GP diesel) shows to have come with a 1-1/16" iron cylinder. In the thread below a fellow makes reference to using a aluminum cylinder for an 81 Diesel Seville (post no. 3). I looked it up and it appears to be a 1" bore. I'm not sure I would want to give up that 1/16" inch of bore. Old thread...

Thanks, GP. Delco 18M95 was the cross reference to a Cardone 10-1740. Original application is a 4 wheel disc brake 1979 Turbo Riviera.

It looks a lot better/more modern than the cast Iron lump. $51.40 on Amazon Prime. I got it for my dad for Christmas.
Glad I could help. I've learned a few things from your posts so I'm glad I could give back.
