Valve Spring Questions.

Hello all. with the assembly of my engine fast approaching I got to looking at my valve springs and I was wondering if I need to remove the internal spring/dampner thing in the middle for the proper camshaft break in procedure. How do I remove it? Picture isn't mine, but it looks like it.
