Unfortunately it will take about another 7 or 8K easy, if not more, to get that thing at a level it needs to be. I don't see it as THAT much of a bargain unless you're just going to hop in it and drive without doing anything to it. As long as you're driving by, it'll look ok. It's going to need some work.

Any car thats closing in on the 40 year mark will need attention in some area or another, its inevitable, EVEN if its a vehicle with 10 miles on it. Compared to the market of these currently, its very well and fairly priced.

For $12.5k whoever bought it should leave it exactly as it is, take it to cruise nights and drive the piss out of it. Don't touch a thing. It has low-ish miles on it but not so low that I'd feel bad driving it. And it is pretty but not so pretty that I'd cry if it got a stone chip in the paint. They are only original once, call it an "unrestored survivor" for extra coolness points.
